FREE MONEY FOR OUR SCHOOL!

Local merchants have programs where we can earn money for our school just by shopping!  All you have to do is link your card to our school once each year, and shop as you normally would.  Here are the details for each participating store.  The sooner you link and shop, the more we earn!

Did you know there’s an easy way to help us raise money for our school—for books, reading programs and anything else that can use extra funding? It’s called Take Charge of Education, and it’s helping our school right now.

Here’s how it works: Visit Target.com/tcoe or call  1-800-316-6142  1-800-316-6142 to designate our school, then use your REDcard whenever you shop. When you use your REDcardSM (Target® Visa® Credit Card, Target Credit CardSM or Target Check CardSM), Target will donate up to 1% of your purchases to Salem Elementary.

Grandparents, alumni, friends and neighbors are all welcome to participate in the program. The more people we involve, the harder the program works for our school. Harris Teeter

Last year we raised $1,401.63 and had 254 cards linked.   This year we would like to see 300 cards linked up with a goal of $1750.

Salem Elementary proudly joins Harris Teeter’s “Together in Education” program again this school year to help raise funds for our school.  It’s easy, it’s free and it will not interfere with your VIC savings.  Simply give the cashier our code, 4114, and your VIC card when you check out and your card will be linked from August 1^st, 2010 until May 31^st, 2011.  You may also return the bottom portion of this form to your teacher and I will link the card for you.  That’s it!  You only have to link your VIC card once each year.  Feel free to have family members and friends link up their cards as well.

Once your card is linked, Salem Elementary will receive at least 2% of your Harris Teeter brand purchases credited back to our school account.   These are some of the Harris Teeter brands.  You can even earn money while using your VIC card at the pharmacy.

Food Lion’s Shop & Share is another easy way for Salem Elementary to raise money to support our school. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to the school.    We average around $70.00 a quarter so please link your cards and continue to support our school. 

Kroger’s reward program uses the cards to accumulate points towards purchases at the end of the year.  This past year we earned over 41,000 points which allowed us to purchase a new camcorder for the media center and timers for student testing.  They will once again be offering points to our school for items purchased at their stores.  We will again be sending link up information home so it will allow everyone to link their cards for the new school year.
